Today, Governor Ron DeSantis unveiled his proposed budget for the 2022 Florida legislative session. In response, Progress Florida Executive Director Mark Ferrulo and Florida Watch Executive Director Josh Weierbach issued the following statements.

Gov. DeSantis raised your taxes

And instead of using this new revenue to help Floridians get health care coverage, build affordable housing, cleanup polluted waterways, or improve neighborhood schools, DeSantis’ new law uses the new taxes we will all now pay to cut taxes for wealthy corporations.
The shameless effort to block clean energy
